Terms & Conditions

The IEC Webstore terms & conditions are the following:

Licence Agreement
By purchasing a copy of an IEC publication the purchaser agrees to be bound by a Licence Agreement. IEC International Standards and publications are copyright protected and the Licence Agreement regulates to what extend the purchaser is allowed to use a purchased standard.

Taxes
No taxes / VAT are charged for orders placed outside of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Local taxes are applied to orders delivered in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Custom duties which may be applied to orders dispatched outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein are the responsibility of the customer.

Shipping
Orders for hardcopy and CD are dispatched by the following working day. The prices are the following. For orders sent by UPS the tracking number will be mentioned on your invoice.

Payment
Orders can be paid by credit card, PayPal or bank transfer. We accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa, JCB and CUP. You may pay in your local currency but please note that the invoice will be in Swiss francs (CHF).
Payments by bank transfer must be made in Swiss francs (CHF) or equivalent amount in EUR or US$. Make sure to mention your order reference (pro forma or invoice number). All bank charges for remittances are borne by the purchaser. Once we have received the payment your order will be processed.

Security
The IEC Webstore uses SSL 128-bit encryption which is compatible with the majority of web browsers. This industry standard technology allows you to communicate with our Webstore via a secure, encrypted link, thus preserving data integrity and confidentiality.

Invoice
You will receive your invoice in PDF format by email the following working day after placing your order.

Returns policy
We do not accept returns for publications purchased in PDF format.
For publications in hardcopy or CD format, returns are accepted on a case by case basis. They can only be returned after agreement from the IEC who will explain the procedure to follow.
